Our Journey

our homeschool journey

Classes have begun…………….

August22

My college life has begun.  I’m working towards a degree in Interior Design.  So far its all good.  I do expect it to get much harder to keep everything balanced.  Between homeschooling, working 2 part-time jobs and being a full-time student is going to be a very, very full schedule.

Beautiful Wednesday

April28

I am working on staying positive. Financially life stinks, but it could be worse. So my plan is to stay positive and move forward. I have a job & work 2 days (sometimes 3) days a week. But would help is I could find 2nd job. I homeschool my children and love it and have a wonderful husband. Plus I plan to start college during fall term. I am excited and nervous since this is a new adventure.

Great weekend

April20

Had a great weekend camping. But could have done without all the ticks (of assorted sizes).

We went hiking on trails (one was 3 miles). We haven’t done that in a long time. Was so nice to be outside enjoying nature. We are looking forward to our next trip.

fun in the sun

April7

Had a nice time at the beach yesterday.  Kids had a great time digging a hole near the water, then burying Eddie in the hole right before we left.

Today I  went to work (it was a short day) and got home before noon.  Made lunch and just feel pretty blah and head is killing me from sinus pressure.

Carolyn is working on her FLVS and Eddie has been looking up information on the Parthenon.

Beautiful Day

April6

Today is absoutely beautiful. The sun is shining and it’s warm enough to spend the day at the beach. Now if both kids were awake and dressed we would head out the door. But unfortunately one is stil asleep. Glad we have an outing already on the calendar for a beach clean-up.

blogging….

March5

No I am not very good at keeping up with a blog. I just font seem to think I have enough to say to do it daily. Maybe soon that will change.

college bound homeschooling mom

February25

Well a new journey is beginning. Well in August 2010 it will officially begin. I am finally going to college. I am getting a degree in Interior Design.

Today I turned in FL residency papers and scheduled my CPT (college placement test). Next up is sceduling my orientation. Which I learned I can do online, so that will be a step I can do ASAP. Once April gets here I can finish the financial aid paperwork. Then start putting my scedule together.

While this goes on, I will continue to work 2-3 days a week and homeschool the kids. This means my calendar is packed for next year and future years, lol. Ahh, it’s for the best, and I look forward to any new challenges.

Enjoying Wekiwa Springs

November21

We are on another camping adventure. This time we are at Wekiwa Springs State Park.

Upon check-in we were informed “bears are active”. Of course we haven’t seen any yet, but we are hopeful. We are on our first full day at the campground, so chances are good that we will.

great camping trip

September25

image847361034.jpgThe kids & I had a great time camping at the Suwannee River State Park. This is a beautiful place to camp. We also enjoyed our visit to the state Capitol and Florida History Museum. We hope to go back again, there is so much to see in Tallahassee.

Our next camping trip will be to St. Agustine in a couple weeks.

Tampa Boat Show………

September14

016 The kids & I had a great time at the Tampa Boat Show this past Friday.  We got to meet Johnathan & Andy Hillstrand of the Time Bandit (Deadliest Catch).  They are the coolest and sweetest guys.018 022

Definitely worth the 2 hour ride.  Although I have learned to pay attention to how fast I am driving.  On our way across the state we got pulled over, thankfully he gave me a warning instead of an actual ticket (worth $225.00).
